December is always a whirl-wind month, and this year was no different. Holiday parties and colder weather, travel and time with family. Still I was able to work my way through four books (one not pictured, because I passed it along to my mom for her reading pleasure!)
Nine Perfect Strangers: Liane Moriarty
Rating: 5/5
In classic Moriarty fashion, this was a fun and easy read with a wild twist. Couldn't put it down, and gasped out loud at the end. What more could you need?
A Prayer for Owen Meany: John Irving
Rating: 4/5
My husband was shocked I hadn't already read this classic Irving novel. Though slow going through the middle, the character study of Owen Meany left me in a tearful puddle in the end and stayed with me for days.
Love Her Wild: Atticus
Rating: 3.5/5
A flip-through feelings bomb from everyone's favorite masked instagram-poet. A few beautiful moments and an easy introduction to poetry. I'll pick it up again.
One Day in December: Josie Silver
Rating: 3.5/5
A meet-cute on a bus, and a second encounter in the worst possible circumstances. The kind of feel-good book with an inevitable ending, but enjoyed the ride nonetheless!
L.S.
